EVOQUE Acne Treatment

EVOQUE Acne Laser Treatment

Introduction

Acne refers to the blockage and infection of pores in the skin, and is a common condition in both adults and adolescents. It usually occurs on the face, but may involve the neck, chest, or back too.

Pores contain glands that produce sebum. Hormonal imbalances can trigger the overproduction of sebum, which when combined with dead skin cells and bacteria cause inflammation across the dermis. This leads to swollen, red acne that can become severe, painful, uncomfortable and can affect an individual’s self-confidence.

  • Open comedones (Blackheads)

Recommended Treatments for Acne

Acne can either be mild, moderate, or severe. Choosing the appropriate acne treatment will largely depend on the type and severity of your condition. Acne can very commonly lead to scarring if not treated early or appropriately. In order to avoid dealing with scar issues, it would be best to treat and control your acne condition as early as possible.
